Ever had trouble gathering enough role-playing materials while travelling? I know I have. In fact, my daughter has placed demands on me to do role-playing now and then while we travel.
This is where the Travelling RPG Compendium comes into play! It’s four source materials. First, there is a section titled “Down with GMs”, which is a GM-less framework for role-playing games. The second section is a bite-sized, single-die, oracular role-playing game called “Backpack RPG”. The next section is a spell book for Backpack RPG based on something found online and modified to fit within the constraints of the game, including some spells of my own. Finally, the last section is a setting called “Margaritaville”.
The book is for A5 paper sizing and it will print easily with most printers, both online and local. I chose the smaller paper size for the purposes of lugging while travel. This is small enough to not take up too much room in a travel bag. Additionally, when combined with Down with GMs and Backpack, only a single six-sided die, a deck of cards, and something portable to write with and on is necessary!
I present the compendium for your travelling enjoyment. Now, keep in mind, you don’t have to travel to enjoy Backpack. I know my family doesn’t.
