Travel RPG Kit

The "Travel RPG Kit" is something I am incrementally building and recommending. The goal is to provide something portable and usable for role-playing while on the go!

What You'll Need

Putting It All Together

All these parts should fit nicely within the large pencil bag. However, each component has specific uses. The portable dice tray is used, obviously, for rolling dice. Rory's Story Cubes (classic works fine, but two sets at most will suffice) are for tale generation, especially when things start to drag and inspiration is necessary. Next, a set of dice relevant to your particular role-playing game or games of choice. Finally, an A6 notebook (so it can fit) and a pen, both for jotting things down, such as how the session goes.

Once gathered, all these items should be able to fit snugly within the large pencil bag. Why a pencil bag? It's simple. You're going to be travelling and need to keep things together, especially within a rucksack. Because a rucksack is being used, space is a premium. As such, small, light things are necessary.

Final Thoughts

There are other things to consider, too. These are how to get your gaming book materials. Given the recent modern era, most people have mobile devices with large enough storage. It's also likely these devices would be with you. All things considered, some people prefer books. So, choose wisely! Some games have heavy tomes. Others, like Fate Core have a small, relatively portable book. In any case, space in a rucksack is a necessary consideration when choosing books.
